So-called "lapability" may be an issue for those with shorter legs, but I have no problem whatsoever. With three-stage backlighting, ample key travel, and a decently sized glass-topped trackpad, the Surface Pro X's keyboard is as good as Surface Pro 7's. It's a higher resolution than the Surface Pro 7's 2736 x 1820, but its smaller size results in the same 267 PPI as the Surface Pro X. The 2880 x 1920 resolution gives a pleasing 267 pixel-per-inch (PPI) density. That number may seem small, but it is noticeable, and Surface Pro X is more enjoyable to use because of it.
